Horned Grebe at the Celery Farm
My first ever here. And the spring arrivals are arriving! The grebe was No. 186 on my Celery Farm life…
When it comes to fighting garlic mustard at the Celery Farm, let's just say it's in the bag — or will be if we keep at it …
Nearly a dozen volunteers pitched in on Sunday, including the Pittstons of Waldwick and Ron Filomeno (pictured above). We bagged 15 more trash bags of this nasty stuff.
Also on the job were Deb Fisk of Franklin Lakes and the Leurcks of Ramsey, Carol Flanagan of Hawthorne and Patty Finn of Allendale.
Combined with earlier efforts, we filled roughly 40 bags' worth of Garlic Mustard, and we have yet begun to fight.
Next year, the mustard won't know what hit it!
Thanks to everyone who pitched in this month. You guys are great!
