  I was in the Meadowlands just before dawn yesterday with camera in tow and encouraging results, and thought I’d

(Editor’s note: Sorry for not posting this sooner.) I did a loop around Celery Farm Sunday morning, and some great

DIFFERENT DAY: Same bird. I saw this guy beginning at 6:15 a.m. at the Warden’s Watch. Light was poor.  

    In the evening, earlier in the week, young barn swallows would fly a bit around Lake Appert, then

           Ace North Jersey dragonflier Sheryl Chacon has been doing a dragonfly survey of the Celery

   I call this stuff mystery crud.    It’s under the leaves on that gangly tree near the Warden’s watch. 

        I took this video from my backyard, at dusk, so it is not the greatest, but

    I’ve had videos of baby owls, baby ducks, and baby woodchucks, so why not baby rabbits?     

  Highlights at the Celery Farm this morning included a raccoon in plain view, a distant Virginia rail, and frogs
