Stiles Thomas’ New (Rare) Carving
Last night, Stiles Thomas unveiled his latest carving — an Ivory-billed Woodpecker.
When I brought it outside to photograph it just now, a Blue Jay flew to a nearby tree and started shouting at it.
Pretty awesome.
(A big thank you to all who attended the unveiling and my talk for Fyke last night.)

Wonderful carving and look at those twig-like feet! I just know this bird is not extinct. He’s out there somewhere!
