Incorporating the Celery Farm and Screech Owl Companion blogs
Stepping Up For Lorrimer!
Today, a team of ace birders is walking the Celery Farm to see how many total species they can see in an effort to raise money for the wonderful educational programs at the Lrrimer Sanctuary.
You can help by making a lump-sum donation or by pledging an amount for every species seen. If, for example, you pledged 25 cents a bird and the team saw 60 species, you'd be donating $15. (I sure hope my math is right!)
Last minute e-mail pledges can be made to John Brotherton at jbro29@optonline.net.
Thanks to all who have made and will make pledges for today's event!

Thanks! I hope you can put a frog on Annabel’s head today!
Happy Mother’s Day! -
Hi Jim,
I will try to take a good mother & baby (even human) photo at the Celery Farm today.
Gerry Barrack has been my favorite nature photographer for 20 years, for the tenderness as well as the technical expertise that show in his photos. In my euphoria after Annabel arrived as my dear (but human) baby, I shared my hope that maybe Gerry could photograph her. You were dubious, but gave me a suggestion as you were too kind to kill all hope. “Maybe if you put a frog on her head”
Thanks for all your inspiration. Best, Nancy
