Squirks feeding w/video
I’d be lying if I said that baby squirrels interest me even half as much as baby screech owls.
But they are in the box with a video camera at the ready, and I had never really seen a baby squirrel before, let alone watch it grow.
At some point, these squirks (my shortened name for baby squirrels) might get cute, but I am not convinced.
No offense intended, but the mom is no beauty queen, and I doubt whether Pops is a winner either.
Here’s the video of the tykes feeding (think of it as a summer replacement series):

As a former wildlife rehabilitator, I find baby squirrels to be quite charming.
When their eyes open etc., they play like kittens and are very entertaining.
I totally understand why many people find them to be pests, but they have their place in the grand scheme.
I LOVED the screech owls!
Could there possibly be a new book?
How about “Mrs Bushytail and the Squirks?”
