Horned Grebe at the Celery Farm
My first ever here. And the spring arrivals are arriving! The grebe was No. 186 on my Celery Farm life…
Saw several on Thursday, including the one in the above video, and another this morning plodding along Parnell's Path.I stole the hand-held camera technique from Howard Hawks.
Below left is a photo of the snapper with a quarter that apparently fell out of its pocket — shows how big it is.
The photo in the middle is of two other Snapping Turtles along the Allendale Brook.
Pic on right is the trail with marked by the Snapping Turtle dragging its tail, which is probably where the expression comes from.
