I thought this sign at the Warden’s Watch might be of interest — a reminder that winter is just around the corner.
Curiously, most of the skating at the Celery Farm’s Lake Appert has occurred the past few years around Christmas and New Year’s. The lake has been frozen and the ice hasn’t been ruined by slush and snow.
It is important to note that skating on the lake is particularly risky these days, due to a lack of ice.
That is why signs such as this are so important. 🙂
Let’s hope that it is removed in the spring.
