Saw Whet Owl Rescue
My wife Patty drove this adorable Saw Whet Owl to The Raptor Trust yesterday. It had apparently flown into the window of a Bergen County office building and knocked itself out.
The Raptor Trust said that it would check for injuries and, if the bird appeared OK, would be released there.

The Trust's advice on what to do with an injured bird is here.

Jim–where was it found???
My lifer Saw-whet was on the ground after hitting my office building in Franklin Lakes on 10/25/99. I also took it to the Raptor trust. It had a broken scapular bone–It healed fine and I realeased it back into the wild (at the Great Swamp) 2 weeks later!
This looks like a great flight year for them! -
Awww, that is an adorable creature. And kudos to Patty, such a nice thing to do. Hope to hear good news on owl!
