ROB FANNING: Uncommon sight at the CF

Rob Fanning reportsI was pleasantly surprised to find a Louisiana Waterthrush at the
Celery Farm this morning–working the stream/brook not far from Phair’s

Only my third ever here (second this year).  This is the first summer/fall record for the CF that I’m aware of.

  • We live in Fardale, Mahwah and have spotted the Louisiana Waterthrush in our backyard pond several evenings during the past week. We were unable to identify the bird as it was not listed in Stan Tekiela’s Birds of New Jersey. Thanks for identifying for us.
