Reflections In a Goose’s Eyeball
Alan Pomerantz is one of the serious birders who spend an hour every Sunday morning to see how many species of birds they can count in that time. It's called "The Hour on the Tower," and the best thing about it is the folks who participate, including Alan. (Thanks, Alan!)
Last Sunday, Alan took an exceptional photo of a Canada Goose. Ordinarily, I would say that "exceptional photo of a Canada Goose" is an oxymoron.
I've always said I don't care if I ever see another photo of the ubiquitous and over-populated Canada Geese (or the ubiquitous and over-populated White-tailed Deer).
Alan proved me wrong. As he pointed out, if you look closely at this stunning black-and-white image of one of Satan's minions, you can actually see the reflection of the birders doing an "Hour on the Tower."
Felt like a touch of Escher…
