Red-shouldered Hawks are nesting again in Allendale (a wonderful annual rite of spring).

These smaller cousins of Red-tailed Hawks are endangered when nesting, so it is a pretty big deal.

They have nested here successfully near the Celery Farm for nearly two decades.

If a pair is nesting near you, please let me know!  (We may have more than one pair nesting.)
