Owl dreams
Had a strange dream the other night that I thought I would share — I figure avian armchair psychologists can have a field day.
Instead of spending his daylight hours in the nesting box with videocam, Ace the screech owl has been living elsewhere again for several days, so I have not seen him.
Saturday night I dreamed I saw Ace sitting in the opening of his nesting box again. He then flew to right outside my window.
I watched him for a second, and then looked for a camera to photograph him because he was so close.
But I could not find a camera. And then I woke up.
It was great to see Ace again, if only in a dream, but I sure wish I could have gotten a photo of him!
For the record, I do not dream of birds very often. This is the only time I can think of.
Also, I am not fixated on Ace. Just a strange dream, that’s all. 🙂

Dear Ace’s Dad,
You are getting older and your are realizing that at some point, you will have to ‘let go’ of this child. Ace will be ok whether living in your ‘home’ or not.
Sounds like Ace isn’t ready to let go either just yet and may stay for one more season.
Give my love to ‘mom’.
