Nature Done Wright

   Celery Farm photographer John Pastore loaned me a copy of his new book,  "Rookie on the Marsh," and it was a joy to look at. The book has plenty of nifty shots (like the beautiful shot above), and a charming poem wends it way through the pictures.

   As we all know, the Celery Farm is about a lot more than just birds, and John's book was a reminder of that — from the dragonflies to the carved "tree snakes" to fox tracks in the snow and the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.
