Girl Scout Troop 50 has built and donated three awesome bat houses to the historic John Fell House, located across Franklin Turnpike from the Fell House.

The scouts presented the three huge black boxes to Marsh Warden Mike Limatola earlier this week.

Laura Pereira prepared an informative flier about bats, which the troop has kindly provided as a download for this blog.

As you likely know, bats — one of Mother Nature's best answers to the mosquito population– have been in a steep decline in New Jersey.
