With the grass growing like crazy along the Green Way field and Butterfly Garden, and our long-time mower Hans Sammer retired (can't thank you enough, Hans!), Fyke just got a new battery-powered mower.

I assembled it yesterday and test-drived it this a.m. Just light enough and small enough to put in the back of my hatchback.

Works great. Battery lasted a bit over 45 minutes and did a heap of cutting. Will order a second battery so we can get more cutting done.Before and after at the Butterfly Garden here.

We now have a cordless hedge (Phragmites) trimmer and a cordless lawnmower. If you can volunteer to help us do some cutting, please let Mike Limatola or me (celeryfarm (at) gmail.com) know.
