Mystery Rehashed :- )

Thanks to the folks who answered Monday's Mystery.  There was a vote for European Starling and a "maybe not." 

I fluctuated beween starling and some sort of woodpecker… I think "starling" is probably right. Any other thoughts?

I knew I should have stuck with the caterpillar photo.

    Having worked with baby birds back in my volunteering days at the Raptor Trust, I would also have to vote European Starling. The bird in the photo looks to be an immature, getting it’s winter plumage. The beak won’t turn yellow till next spring when the bird molts to its breeding plumage.
