My Latest Column: Pete Dunne!
Just in time for the World Series of Birding, my latest column for The Record features an interview with the legendary Pete Dunne — who invented the event 30 years ago.
Pete is recovering from a stroke suffered less than two months ago. He was nice enough to talk to me about his stroke, his recovery, the World Series of Birding, Garret Mountain in the spring, and more.
The link is here.
Below, a photo of Pete with Roger Tory Peterson in 1984, during the first World Series of Birding.

Jim, thank you so much for bringing news of Pete to us. He is such an inspiration. We were all worried about him ever since we heard of his illness but did not want to pry.

Thanks Jim. Great article! Many of us have been wondering about Pete Dunne’s progress, so it was good to read it in his own words.
