My Book Launch & the Palisades

Peregrine falcons are the stars of my new book, but I doubt I would have written it if it weren’t for the Hudson River Palisades, which are featured prominently.
That’s why I’m delighted to hold the launch event for my new book at the State Line Lookout this Sunday (April 26) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
A big thank you to the Palisades Interstate Park Commission for arranging this event.
Did you know ….
…that the famed peregrine diorama at Manhattan’s American Museum of Natural History depicts peregrines nesting on the Palisades?
….or that the U.S. Army “recruited” peregrines from the Paiisades to fight in World War II. (Don’t get me started on the Army’s secret plans to use peregrines — best to read it in my book)
I hope to see you Sunday between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. I’ll post the details again later this week.
(Parking rules are in effect until 7 p.m. The parkmobile app will save you time,)
