The Big Dead-Fish Clean-Up
A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in yesterday to remove all those dead fish from the Celery…
It's an aptly named Leopard Moth, photographed in my backyard next to the CF and across the street from the Fell House — site of Wednesday Night's Moth Ball.
Deedee Burnside not only answered correctly, but she gave us the full monte — “Zeuzera pyrina – Wood Leopard Moth. (Thanks, Deedee!)
We had one of those last Saturday at the East Brunswick Butterfly Park Moth Night. It stayed on the sheet for hours! what a beauty!

I guess we’ll just have to see…
I would like to enter a moth request for the Moth Ball tomorrow: I want to see a Cecropia Moth and a Pandorus Sphinx. 😉
