The Big Dead-Fish Clean-Up
A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in yesterday to remove all those dead fish from the Celery…
Here's this year's set-up of moth lights. Two of them are moth lights from BioQuip –the Mercury vapor light on the left and the ultra-violet "night collecting light" with the bluish light above it. I also use a cfl blacklight and a halogen light.
Each of the lights seems to attract admirers, including some guy in an orange T-shirt.
I have noticed that as the night wears on, more moths arrive.
Here's an assortment of eight shapes and sizes from earlier this week, taken with a macro lens. I really like the yellowish one, though I am not 100 percent sure it's a moth.
Of course it’s a moth – see the antennae!
