I saw the mink near Pirie Platform Monday, where it scampered down the path about 10 feet away, ducked into the bushes (out of focus picture of back of body and tail attached), then crossed the path and jumped into the Brook for a dip.

After this picture it scampered back into the bushes, posed for me from 3 ' away while I fiddled with my camera focus, got bored and scampered off.

It was definitely a cute mink, not a muskrat with a rat tail, which I have plenty of in-focus pictures of.

My question is, what the heck is this nectar-sucking flying shrimp with a proboscis almost as long as it's body?
Photo of nectar-sucking flying shrimp follows. (Yes, the clear-winged moths are back at the Celery Farm.)  (Thanks, Mike!)
