Monday Silhouette Mystery 022420 Answered

On Monday, Feb. 24 I wrote:

A couple of weeks back, I wrote about the John James Audubon exhibits at the New-York Historical Society.

The room where his watercolors are displayed has a large blue-painted silhouette of a bird above the door.

What's the bird?

I received quite a few intriguing answers, and one impressive one.
