Horned Grebe at the Celery Farm
My first ever here. And the spring arrivals are arriving! The grebe was No. 186 on my Celery Farm life…
Today's mystery is from a Wave Hill trip last Thursday.
A great place to bird is a composting area at the foot of the property, where Ruby-crowned Kinglets abounded.
Also saw the guy above, who was nice enough to give me two side views and a straight-on mug shot.
Sorry the pix aren't better. Can't win 'em all.
According to my Merlin app, it's an Indigo Bunting.
What sayeth you?
