A friend in Allendale asks: "Could you help me identify the bird eggs in this nest on my front-door wreath?"
I tried to photograph the bird as it flew away but it was blur….
I have a hunch or two. How about you?
Answer: Here's what I think. A cowbird laid that speckled egg in a house sparrow nest or a house finch nest. Congrats to Ali Fragale, who agreed with me.
