Deedee Burnside's comment explained the title of "To Kill a Mockingbird" better than I could…:
"It is a sin because mockingbirds do no harm. They only provide pleasure
with their songs: 'They don't do one thing but sing their hearts out
for us.'
"The mockingbird is used as a recurring motif to symbolize
innocence and victims of injustice throughout the novel. It is a symbol
of innocence and beauty against racism and hatred." (Thanks, Deedee!)

I finally learned what that title meant….It makes sense. I just went to the Celery Farm on July 11th and couldn’t believe how much wildlife was around-especially since summer is supposed to be a slow month for viewing wildlife. You can check out some of my pictures in the link below:
