On Monday I wrote:

I found this small feather in a park in Allendale. Can you identify the bird? (I think I know the answer.)

Diane Louie answered correctly: a tailfeather from a Red-bellied Woodpecker. (I found a dead Red-bellied the day before in the same spot.)

Many folks guessed various other woodpeckers, so they were close.
