The answer to Monday's mystery (see next post below) is fox scat.

My wife and I both suspected that a Red Fox had left a calling card or two on the Belgian block last week, although part of me still suspects our neighbor's lawn gnomes nearby.

The guy on the right (above) looks particularly dubious as he tries to protest his innocence.
