Monday Morning Mystery 100520

STC_0383The other night, we heard some noises outside. The following morning, we found our metal trash can popped open the way Popeye used to open a can of spinach.

The next night I put the trash can inside permanently and left out a bar of pepper suet and the trail cam.

The following morning, I downloaded the above image.

Our cat is black and is an indoor cat, so I don't think it could be Pook.

Any idea what this is?

  • Nice Bear , love seeing all my night animals on
my Deer Cam my Bear just took one seed block down
    and went on there way.

  • I think it’s too late… Don’t want to attract the bear back to the yard.
    But thanks.

  • The pole is about six feet high, but the bear is likely lower than appears.
I am pretty certain it was a bear. Dragged a 20-pound bag of bird seed 10 yards over a bridge… and drained a hummingbird feeder…
    Thanks!

  • What’s the height on that pole with what looks like a feeder, on the far left of the photo? Just trying to get an idea of scale, and it’s too late to put a quarter next to the creature.

Can you put some sand or other material, that would allow you to get a measurable foot print?

  • Thanks. That’s what I was thinking.
