Can anybody help me ID this spider, tending to his (or her) web near the Celery Farm?

Walrus spider. Family Arachnid whonoze.

…and regarding the “his/her” question, your guess is as good as mine. Some expert arachnologist’s help is needed here. But if barn spiders are anything like tarantulas, even the experts may be of little help. Here’s an interesting article on the subject:

Is this the same persistent guy that I photographed at Warden’s Watch a few weeks ago? Doesn’t he know enough to get back in the barn? (Common name is “Barn Spider”) O what a tangled web we weave–and even reweave–after being nudged by a nosy photographer.
