The Big Dead-Fish Clean-Up
A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in yesterday to remove all those dead fish from the Celery…
This bug was photographed last month by Don Torino at the Teaneck Creek Conservancy. What is it? (Looks like the perfect pet…)
Eyed Click Beetle
The body looks like that of a click beetle, but I don’t remember seeing the eye spots on any I have ever encountered. Click beetle larvae (wire worms) like to get into my garden and feed on the potatoes. The adults can flip themselves over with a “click” when they end up on their backs. I am guessing there might be more than one species.
