INJURED HAWK: Update

Great news. I just heard from Marsh Warden Stiles Thomas that the female red-shouldered hawk that was injured a week and a half ago is making a terrific recovery.

She passed the egg she was carrying — not yet fully formed — and is now in a flight cage at the Raptor Trust. She has been banded, and could be released as early as Saturday in the Celery Farm.

Passing along the information was Jennifer Crusco of the Villadom Times, who is doing a story for next week's edition.
