Great news. I just heard from Marsh Warden Stiles Thomas that the female red-shouldered hawk that was injured a week and a half ago is making a terrific recovery.
She passed the egg she was carrying — not yet fully formed — and is now in a flight cage at the Raptor Trust. She has been banded, and could be released as early as Saturday in the Celery Farm.
