  Nasty morning in Alendale and the Celery Farm.
  The water is high in the stream, the trails look like pure slush, and I received word of a tree down — I will be calling the DPW this morning, but they no doubt have their hands full with weather-related work already.
   I ventured out to fill my bird feeder, but that was as adventurous as I got.
   There are waterproof coats, and then there are waterproof coats.
   Mine, it appears, is a semi-waterproof coat.
