Stopped by High Mountain last week to check out my two favorite waterfalls after a heavy rain and snow melt.

The one on the left is Buttermilk Falls, near the Scioto Drive entrance to the preserve.

The one on the right I have nicknamed Schrabisch Falls, for archeologist Max Schrabisch, who explored High Mountain and its rock shelters in the early 1900s.

I will be giving a talk and slide show on the 1,260-acre High Mountain Park Preserve for the Montclair Bird Cub next week. Details are here.
