Not a great photo, I know, but I was photographing this juvenile bald eagle from across the Hackensack River in Teaneck's Terhune Park.
This month, I have seen a juvenile bald eagle sitting on a tree in Foschini Park in Hackensack on three of five lunch hours.
On one of the two other days, I saw an eagle perched there on my way to work.
As raptor expert Pete Dunne predicted in a recent interview with The Record, most of the adult bald eagles appear to have left the area, but the juveniles are still hanging around.
The juveniles aren't nearly as striking, but it's still a kick to see one on a lunchtime run.
