Bergen County Audubon Society's Don Torino has a new column for wildnewjersey.tv on 10 things you can do to help birds.

Here's a sample:

"At times environmental
issues seem overwhelming, most people sit back and feel helpless and
believe that there is little that one person can do to make things
better.

"The good news is there are many ways you can help our birds and
the environment without waiting for any elected officials or government
agencies to do it for us. By taking the initiative we can almost have an
immediate positive effect on the natural world around us.  

"Recently
Audubon magazine published a top ten list of ways to help birds, I
borrowed a few from them and added some of my own that brought things a
little closer to home."
