Do you see a bear in this photo? Artist Muriel Christensen of Houston Texas writes:
Last March I took some photos of Celery Farm when I visited friends, Sharon and Dick Williams. Then recently, I asked them to send me photos with the summer green leaves to see how the season changed since my original view in March (all trees and sticks, no green leaves).
Well, they sent 4 photos taken with a digital camera, and I was surprised to see an unusual brownish red spot. After enlarging it, it looked like a bear, or … ?
I read about the black bears in NJ, and it mentions that some also have brownish cinnamon colors.
I called my friends, the Williams, and told them that bear or critter must have been looking at them from across the pond all the time they were there taking pictures….
Now, in reality, I am concerned…I live in Houston Texas.
I just read about how birding fans and other visitors are going to Celery Farm –…The literature does not mention bears at the Celery Farm. Maybe they have found a new habitat.
It is either a bear, a wolf, a chopped up tree trunk by the beavers, or …?
I know what I think… What do you think?

Looks more doggish or deerish than bearish–but, yes, it’s probably just trunkish.

I think it’s a tree trunk too. BTW, I get a Twitter API login popup every time I visit this site.
