Conure update: Mayday

Here's the latest status report on the Green-cheeked Conure, the pet bird found at the Celery Farm on Memorial Day Weekend.

The bird was taken in by a local police officer after he got to be too much for me. The good officer writes:

"Things are going well with the
newest member of the family.  We named him 'Mayday' and he
responds to it appropriately.  He was found in May, and secured as one of
the boys on Memorial Day!

"Not to mention, he crashed landed in a
noteworthy piece of heaven on earth, The Celery Farm!  Put it all
together:  'Mayday' seems to fit.

  "He needed our help and
he has received it.  Mayday is in his routine now.  He is fed at
dinnertime and the cage is covered by 9 p.m., only to be up at 7:30 a.m.

   "He is
a monkey-bird, constantly climbing and swinging on the perches / bars of his
cage.

"Once I know he is mine for sure, I will invest in a much larger
cage. He is a lovely bird …"
