The Big Dead-Fish Clean-Up
A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in yesterday to remove all those dead fish from the Celery…
Now that's what I called a Major League bug. In the Wildflower Meadow, at some Bergamot.
A huge thank you to Fred Weber for planting all that Bergamot and Milkweed (and helping to nuke the Mugwort). Awesome!
Beautiful photo!
The plant is actually Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa). Bee-Balm (AKA Oswego-tea) is the red-flowered species (M. didyma). Purple Bergamot (M. media) has more purplish flowers. Both Bee-balm and Purple Bergamot can be seen in the Butterfly Garden.
Thanks, Fred, for replenishing the meadow!
