The Sky’s the Limit for This Birder
Fewer than 500 people worldwide have reported seeing this African bird – a blue-moustached bee-eater. Photo by Marc Chelemer By…
Ducks abounded on the Celery Farm’s Lake Appert this morning around 7:15 a.m. — including my first good looks at wigeons and a male wood duck this year. And a coot nearby.
My only advice is that you cannot approach the Warden’s Watch peninsula too gingerly.
I walked softly and slowly and still managed to spook more than a half-dozen hooded mergansers.
The coot and male wood duck, fortunately, were not as flustered.
