CELERY FARM: Dragonfly Fest Part 1
I took several dragonfly shots on Sunday with a macro lens, and have a new perspective on things — I am more small-minded than ever.
Thanks to Deedee Burnside and Tom Burr with the help on the IDs. Most appreciated.
Click "Continue reading" for views of four great Celery Farm dragonflies. There’ll be three or four more later this week.
Blue dasher
Common whitetail (female)
Cherry-faced Meadowhawk

According to my new policy re: IDing Odonates from photos, my response is, “yes, Jim, they ARE dragonflies.” Just kidding–I’ll go with Deedee on the first 3. Numero Quatro es el Unicorn Clubtail, or I’ll be a monkey’s uncle. (It may be the same guy I shot on the Warden’s Watch railing the other day.)
(The numbering ignores the absolutely beautiful silhouetted guy, who is probably another blue dasher, eh?)
Great photos!!
