CELERY FARM: A great weekend

Poison_ivy

It looks to be a great weekend at the Celery Farm.

An osprey has been catching fish and perching on a wood duck box  — a nice show.

On Sunday, I hope to post a sequence photographed earlier this week of an osprey harassed by a smaller bird.

In the meantime, just a reminder that this is a bumper year for poison ivy.

If you’re visiting the Celery Farm, stay away from the edges of the trails and remind others — especially those with children — not to wander.

It is important to obey sanctuary rules and stay on the trails, not only to avoid deer ticks and poison ivy, but to avoid disturbing nesting birds.
