Cape May Warbler at CF by Barbara Dilger

WARBLER CAPE MAY CF 5418DSC_0105_crop

Barbara Dilger got these shots of a rare Cape May warbler at the Celery Farm this a.m.

Barbara writes:

went to the CF this morning with a friend to look for the Protho Warbler, to no avail.  However, thanks to Jack, Bob and Lisa, we were fortunate enough to see a Cape May Warbler!

Beautiful bird loving the flowering tree along side the east brook.  Seen about 9 AM.

Rob Fanning adds:

What a find for the CF–congrats! In my 20+ years of birding the CF–I NEVER saw a Spring male cape may there. Protho is the much easier bird for the CF!

It does seem to be an extra good year for Cape Mays this year–I've already seen 4 this spring (and yet not a single Redstart!)

(Thanks, Barbara!) (Thanks, Rob!)
