Nature Done Wright

I don't pay much attention to my life list, but when I saw a Northern Gannet in the ocean off the beach in Cape May yesterday, I thought it might be a lifer.

It was. (One of the many gaps in my birding, but then I guess I was lucky to see one of these cousins of frigatebirds and boobies…)

Also saw a couple of Oystercatchers, which are always awesome. Now those dudes are charismatic.
