   For the second year in a row, plans are afoot for a Celery Farm calendar, featuring the work of local photographers.

   In a particularly shrewd move, calendar planners have chosen the year 2008, and as a special offer, are offering an extra day on their calendar, February 29.

   This year’s calendar was a great success, and featured wonderful photos of the 107-acre natural area as well as its feathered denizens.

   Submissions for consideration are due by August 1, 2007.

   The planners ask that submitters follow these guidelines:

1. Photographs must have been taken at the Celery Farm Natural Area in Allendale, although not necessarily within the past year. Each entrant may submit up to five photographs.

2. Portrayals of all aspects of the Celery Farm are welcome. We are looking for memorable, high-quality images that capture the essence of the Celery Farm over the course of the year.

3. Submit photographs as prints, having a long dimension of at least 7 inches (10 inches preferred). Landscape format is preferred, but not mandatory. Label each print with your name, address, telephone
number, and e-mail address on the back. If a photo is selected, digital files (.tiff, .PSD, or high quality .jpeg) of sufficient resolution for 8×10 reproduction will be needed. For images printed from film, a slide or original negative must be supplied.

4. Fyke membership by a photographer is not necessary for submissions, but will be required if a selected photo is to be included in the calendar.
