The Big Dead-Fish Clean-Up
A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in yesterday to remove all those dead fish from the Celery…
We had a nifty Tom Burr Memorial Butterfly Walk this a.m.
14 folks (just the right size) partook of the 90-minute nature walk — also had a Hummingbird Clear-winged Moth or two, many Ebony Jewelwings, and a pair of Red-shoulders (adult and juvie.)
Fred Weber led the walk and provided the list below. (Thanks, Fred!)
Cabbage White 4
Tiger Swallowtail 1
Spicebush Swallowtail 1
Monarch 3
Buckeye 1
Silver-spotted Skipper 5
Peck's Skipper 2
Broad-winged Skipper 1
Least Skipper 1
Northern Broken Dash 1
How often and when does another butterfly walk take place?
Go, Fred!
Great list! Sorry I missed it!
Absolutely eonderful
