With snow expected late Wednesday, I challenge fellow birders to a Birdy 30 on Thursday.

The rules are simple. The person  (or team) who sees and/or hears the most species of birds in any 30-minute interval from one spot on Thursday wins. (Think of it as a warmup for Saturday's Christmas Bird Count.)

To the winner: Bragging rights.
