Horned Grebe at the Celery Farm
My first ever here. And the spring arrivals are arriving! The grebe was No. 186 on my Celery Farm life…
Might be a neat idea to get to the Celery Farm around sunrise on Monday morning — judging by the thousands of small birds that flew in to roost after 4:30 p.m. today.
They apparently had stayed out until after the Giants' overtime win.
The photo above is just a smattering of the birds crosssing the dusky sky.
The sky was like this yesterday afternoon, too. (Saturday) The trees looked as if they had leafed out, only when you looked through your binoculars, you saw the “leaves” were really birds.
