Just back from a birding trip to Cuba, and noticed a large raptor perched across the street from the local gas station in Allendale.
This is a spot where the Red-shoulders occasionally perch, but this guy looked too big. Possibly a first-year Red-tail? A pale Red-shoulder? Or am I way off the mark?
Question: “But what was it doing in a Red-shoulder tree!”
