And then there was one
Last night, two more owlets left the nesting box.
It was after dark. But from my window, just before the first one flew, I could make out the movement of an adult screech owl flying from branch to branch to branch, keeping an eye on the owl-box opening.
One owlet dropped directly to the ground. The other seemed to flap its wings and move forward a bit before landing.
I lost sight of them immediately in the darkness, and turned out the lights.
At this point, only one owlet is in the nesting box, and looking healthy.
I think he was the last of egg hatched, six days after the other three.

In the upper middle of the screen, you can actually see the video-cam red light blinking…
This provides the light for video-recording inside the box.
