Incorporating the Celery Farm and Screech Owl Companion blogs

November 15, 2007

And the cam-name nominees are…

I have to give a huge thank you to all those who have responded to the “name the cam” contest.Installing_the_cam_1

A couple of entries were quite detailed, to the point you would have thought somebody was pitching a prospectus for a start-up company or TV sit-com.

Believe me, the enthusiatic response was totally unexpected, and came from New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida and Great Britain.

One person came up with more than 40 names but thankfully asked that only two be included.

If I had it to do over, I would have Duck_box limited it to one entry per person. Just never expected such a spirited response.

The entries were still arriving as of 6 a.m. today.

My only hope now is that people will vote for the entry they think is best, and not necessarily one of their own entries.  🙂

Actually, my real hope is that wood ducks move in again to the nesting box next spring.

In the meantime, though, I’ll happily settle for a spirited vote.

Without further ado, I give you the 39 names in no particular order. Instructions on how to vote for your favorite will follow.

If I have somehow forgotten to include your entry, and it wasn’t a duplicate, please holler.

The only rule in voting: Have fun.

  Or flip a coin.

Voting ends Thanksgiving morning at 8 a.m.

   Let the balloting begin.
